How to covert image to text using Microsoft office

Microsoft Office does not have a built-in feature specifically for converting images to text. However, you can achieve this using Microsoft OneNote, which is part of the Microsoft Office suite. Here's how you can convert an image to text using OneNote:

Insert the Image: Open OneNote and create a new page or navigate to the existing page where you want to insert the image. Click on the "Insert" tab in the ribbon at the top of the window and select "Pictures" to insert the image you want to convert to text.

Copy Text from Image: Once the image is inserted into your OneNote page, right-click on the image and select "Copy Text from Picture" from the context menu. OneNote will use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract text from the image.

Paste the Text: After the text has been extracted, you can paste it into any text editor or Microsoft Office application where you want to use the text. Simply right-click and select "Paste" or use the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + V) to paste the text.

Edit and Format: Depending on the quality of the image and the accuracy of the OCR, you may need to edit and format the extracted text to correct any errors or inconsistencies. You can do this directly in the text editor or application where you pasted the text.

Save and Use: Once you are satisfied with the converted text, you can save the document or use the text for your desired purpose, such as creating a report, writing an email, or adding it to a presentation.

By using Microsoft OneNote's OCR feature, you can easily convert images containing text into editable text that you can use in your Microsoft Office documents and other applications.

Have you ever used OCR technology to convert images to text before? If so, what was your experience like?
